Gran Tierra Energy holdsinterests in producing and prospective properties in Argentina, Colombia andPeru. Gran Tierra Energy has a strategy that focuses on establishing aportfolio of producing properties, plus production enhancement and explorationopportunities to provide a base for future growth. When Jorge Posada went down with an injury, the Yankees were faced with the difficult prospect of being without a starting-quality catcher Not any more. Giving up only Kyle Farnsworth, the Bombers acquired Ivan Rodriguez from the Tigers.Pudge gives the Yankees Gold-Glove defense, and he can hit for average (he is approaching .290).  Suddenly, the weakest position on the roster is a relative strength once again and Rodriguez can only help the Yankees continue their recent hot streak. In addition, Rodriguez has played for a World Series winner (Florida 2003) and would be solid in the playoffs as well.Meanwhile, Boston and Tampa have done little to improve their teams. The Sox now have David Ortiz back in the lineup, but the Manny Ramirez soap-opera has erupted again. Ramirez is a distraction, but if Boston trades him, it will probably hurt the team's offense in the short-term.

The Sox have a good pitching staff, but were unwilling (or unable) to trade for Rich Harden or C.C. Sabathia in an attempt to put the team over the top and into the division lead.If the Yankees continue to rack up the wins, will the Red Sox be able to stay in second, let alone over-take the Rays?Tampa has fallen off their previous pace somewhat, yet has remained silent in the trade market.  There is a rumor that they will try to add Jason Bay fromPittsburgh before the deadline, but so far nothing has come of it.  The Rays have a good farm system, however, and might be able to add a bat.On the other hand, the Rays have some potentially marquee players in the minors, so they will probably use call-ups to complete their playoff push. Also, they can afford to wait, since they are exceeding expectations this season and are currently in first place. The AL East race just became even tighter and it will certainly continue to be one of the beststory-lines to follow as the season continues into August and September.. -------MARKET SNAPSHOT AT 9:34 a.m. (1334 GMT)-------June T-Bond USM9 126-11/32 (-21/32)June 10-Year note TYM9 122-26/32 (-13/32) Bonds Change vsCurrent previous New York close yieldThree-month bills US3MT=RR 0.145 (0.01)0.1471Six-month bills US6MT=RR 0.335 (0.01)0.3402Two-year note US2YT=RR99-28/32 (-02/32)0.9399Five-year note US5YT=RR 99-21/32 (-06/32)1.824610-year note US10YT=RR98-30/32 (-10/32)2.876530-year bond US30YT=RR95-21/32 (-11/32)3.7428 Bonds. Say whatever it is about Stu Grimson that you have to but he does deserve a spot on my top ten list. The guy was nicknamed the “Grim Reaper” for heaven sakes! Stu faced just about every other tough guy in the league during his days as he played around the league for the Calgary Flames, Chicago Blackhawks, Anaheim Ducks, Detroit Red Wings, Hartford Whalers, Carolina Hurricanes, Los Angeles Kings, and the Nashville Predators.

That’s a lot of teams. In 729 games in the NHL he raked up 2113 penalty minutes, collected only 39 points, and dropped the gloves 268 times. The native of Vancouver, British Columbia was drafted 143rd overall by the Calgary Flames in 1985. Stu was always a tough guy from day one, but he didn’t really become one of the top NHL heavyweights until his days with Hartford. That’s when people say he added some muscle and worked a lot on his balance and technique as a fighter. When the Whalers moved to Carolina to become the Hurricanes, we saw Grimson and New Jersey’s tough guy Krzysztof Oliwa, have a great feud. They fought a lot over the next few season and both put up some pretty good showings. Later on when he played in Los Angeles he had some great feuds with Georges Laraque and Scott Parker. His final season with Nashville wasn’t great for Stu, he suffered from post-concussion syndrome and couldn’t fight anymore, so he was forced to retire. Stu had some great scraps with Bob Probert throughout his career. He even won a couple against him and Probert is as tough as they come. Grimson was also known for his aggressive style of play and short temper. He did take a couple cheap shots and people and went crazy a couple times on the ice But in the long run he was doing it all for his team.

He was a great enforcer and made a big name for himself in the NHL.  Note: This is part two of a ten part series..
